Dead Ends part 2 Tuesday, November 29, 2005

Right, so on saturday, went out with some guys from st gab's. sean( like his punkish look, with black nails, real baggy pants and blond fringe), emmanuel(his dressing rocked, but at first he seemed a little too sarcastic) and roy( i only vaguely remember him and his shades were hot). Then there was this other guy, sivadas(aka diva) who supposedly wants to become a fashion designer. He fits the stereotype character wise, but somehow, even though his clothes would look good on their own, somehow he just had a very, um well he looked like a typical person you would find on little india. No offense to ppl at L.I.

Ok, so at first me, sean and diva went to lido for tix, but the line was so bloody long, it passed the popcorn shop. So we walked to cineleisure via a route i've never used before, but the only seats available were in the 1st 2 rows. So we went down to bk to wait for the other 2. Then emm like asked me questions in a way like he never knew me before. How could he forget me? And i thought my memory was bad. Anyway, diva was obviously the most picked on one but they cut him some slack cause his dog just died. And the initiation to the group was sayin 'thats hot'.

Since we couldnt get tix, we just went window shopping, or more like followed emm window shoppin. But i could gather that he and diva were rich. I mean the latter thought that a $100+ scarf was reasonable. The other two are quite well off too i guess. We walked like almost everywhere; tangs, paragon, taka, wisma... then a marcus joined us. Ouh, and i and emm signed on the wall at Level One. Then we went to plaza sing. Diva went home on the way there. Then outside the starbucks there we were sort of talking, and emm plucked like 2 strands of sean's blond fringe. And i literally heard it snap. It was so hilarious and sean gave him an awesome kick to the ass and called him evil ho. Damn funny. heheh.

Anyway, we spotted TCC, so go lah. As we entered, almost all the staff greeted us warmly and showed us seats. So nice. And so was the surroundings. It was obviously more posh than coffee bean or starbucks. The price matched though, $5.30 for a hot chocolate. roy and emm shared a cheesecake and an oreo milkshake. We talked and lauhed and the yellow evening sun seeped through the windows. It was an altogether really nice experience. Yeah, so emm left 1st, then the rest of us. yeah. wanna do that again sometime.

Oh yeah, then after that i bought hair dye and re-did my hair, cause the previous color was very vague. And it turned out real awesome. But i got real shit for it. Naggin and lecturing and watnots. I mean come on, its not green or pink or purple. It was just a light, slightly reddish brown. But no, they thought it was horrendous and i was grounded for 2 weeks. And my cuz went into a rave of how my hair is gonna fall out and wateva. Funny thing is, i didnt see any objection when my dad asked me to dye it back. Surely 3 times in a week is worse than 2. So yeah. Strange people. So i made a deal...i dye it back and i get to go for the class barbecue. So yeah. Unfortunately, my hair is black again. But never mind. i'll get back at them. I'm gonna dye it my skin colour next year. Muahahahahah!

So Harry Potter was ok i guess. Better than the previous one although i thought the quidditch world cup was a little too condensed. Almost cried wen harry brought cedric's body back. almost.

Next day went for a job interview. Which really sucked. Because the interviewer like more or less told me to go against my parents wishes; not to go door to door. Then while waiting for maja to come, went to taka and got my Zara muffler. I think its just so gorgeous. Well it has to be for $59. Sat a while at coffee bean for a hot chocolate and saw paxton, brian, keng hee, some other s2 guy and this cedar girl. Then met maja at orchard mrt, went to tangs, chose a black shirt with blue lines from FCUK and a navy pants(no pleats). Luckily the pants had 20% off and i used the $60 voucher my cuz gave me for the shirt.

Next day went out with sy, sh, tl, iven and ben to go shop for their stuff. Walau so fickle, go all around orchard and doubling back many times. But still not many things were bought. Got back home kinda late.

Going to school on wednesday was a supreme waste of time. Belinda gave us brochures on some jc admissions exercise. Then we got our testimonials which were also, i think, a waste of ink. Here's wat Daphne wrote abt me: Hanif has a great interest in the arts. He also enjoys singing and has performed in many school events. He is an independant worker who is helpful and polite.

After changin into my poser outfit, went to seoul garden at taka with like 16 ex 2b people. Then on the way up we took the lift but got jammed. It was somewht in between scary and hilarious. So pressed the button, waited a few minutes, then wen the lift door open, we all run out like mad. S.G. wasnt opened yet so wnt to slack at kino. The whole eating experience was real nice. Actually was supposed to go watch Emily rose after that but the group just separated and few of us went to cineleisure for lan but the shop was closed. So after a while at arcade, the rest went to sim lim for GNW. Then went home, changed, went to jp's house on a fashion consultant assignment. Did his hair, picked out his shirt and pants and played x-men on his x-box for a while. Dyed my hair wen i got back home, but the color didnt show at all.

Thursday afternoon, went to wisma to get my hair done. The guy was so torturous, he was like trying to pull out my hair rather than flat iron it. Although i loved the gel he used. Made the back of my hair like a helmet though. Then went back to get ready, somehow, i took longer than expected, so i thought i was runnin late while in the car. But i arrived in time, descending down the staircase with a whole glam look from my 80's hairstyle to my borrowed prada shoes(the jacket was prada too). Managed to awe melvin ling. heheh. Ya, so walked around the crowd, getting glances, whether impressed or jealous. Almost was too late for the class photo because of some alumni form i had to fill in. But i made it.

Ok so i wasnt too disappointed to sit at a separate muslim table. a. it was right next to my class's. b. Sharul nizam was so bloody funny and entertaining. But the food kinda sucked. The satay and seabass was ok but the other 4 courses were bleh.

The introduction of the contestants of the saints hunt was well...the choreography was so bad, it was funny. It was like frikin national day again man.They then introduced themselves. 2 guys voices were kinda funny and some speeches left us goin 'wat?'. I liked Ryan and Erwyn's intro. Egoistic but cool. The talent part was ok i guess, although both singing acts didnt sound too good. Boon rong with his boring but macho 50 push ups in a minute, isaac with his card trick that i didnt really get and my fav was indran's chinese song. It was real hilarious, and even though he forgot quite a few words, it still rocked.

I CANNOT BELIEVE MY HORRIBLE TIMING!!! I went to the toilet wen they were nominating best dressed. I mean come on. I so had the best outfit. And i would have been able to flirt with ms goh. But never mind, as long as my friends know, and also i got some lucky draw thing (some voucher) that i'm sure would be useless.

So after some remeniscing video and the school song that we all sang in a real, as jimmy would say, 'semangat' way, there was a rush to take as many group photos as possible. I ended up lookin kinda vampiric cause i used oxy cover, but hey, i love that. Of course had to take one of the trio, me sy and tim. even though we kinda drifted apart, we had great times. After that, didnt follow the rest to go play lan, cause i had a bad headache. I had to shampoo twice to make sure all the gel was out.

well, gotta go now.

Swing Open the Cage Doors Saturday, November 19, 2005

WOHOO! THE O'S ARE FRIKIN OVER!!! The freedom seems so immense. Phyeh right. Immense is too drama. Cause i would only have immense freedom with like a billion dollars. Hahah.

Ok, so today theres some baca thing, then tomoro mornin will be watchin harry potter. It looks like its gonna be frikin good. Then Monday i'm gonna buy my outfit for grad dinner. I guess instead of tellin my plans now, i should just report them after they happen.

Ok so i think i did ok for the o's although i really screwed ss, all the topics that came out were the ones i didnt study. Math was surprisingly easy. I just hope they dont moderate too much. Well, i just hope i get the 18 points i'm rooting for. Lower oso can. hahah.
