Well, we lost yesterday's debate. I really dont get it. I mean perhaps the last debate was acceptqable lah. We could see how the other team won...a little at least even just by 1 point. Pathetic. Anyway i've never felt more strongly that we should have won. We all agreed that our case was stronger, and so was our rebuttals. Evan the judges said that. I guess they got their priorities wrong. Well Mr Sim caught the whole thing on video, so i'll have to look harder lah.

But it was so shocking. It was the 1st time i wasnt shaking or feeling numbness of limbs due to nervousness. I was feeling unafraid. In my mind, i knew i could nail it. I guess i was too relaxed that Mr Sim thought the way i delivered was to laid back. Well, thats just my persona lar. Well, anyway i won best speaker so i didnt feel that bad at the end of it all.

Ok, i'm damn relieved that that was over. It was so frikin hectic, what with homework and the debate speech to write and the looong sessions. Hah. I can now have the time to smell the fresh air. Ok, so not now lah, i mean i'm having morning cold. Sheesh, hate these sinuses. But yeah. My brain isnt so strained anymore. At least now i can just contemplate over trivial stuff like whether 7270 or 7280 is a better buy. Now i can catch up in my schoolwork. Read my chem notes. Do homework on time. Use the com for leisure instead of debate research.

Ok, so ever since i put Niro in this new tank with the gravel and stuff he's been more hostile. Guess its a bit like his natural habitat so he's more relaxed n energetic lah.Well, gonna get a haircut later, hope it turns out alrite. Also gonna buy a frog n see how Niro takes to it.

I'll be so damn relieved after Friday. Its just getting so frikin hectic with the schoolwork and debate stuff. Why, oh why did i take a cca that has homework! It sucks to the core. So much schoolwork to catch up on. Need to move forward in my art coursework, pass up chem worksheets on time. Haiz. Tv is my savior.

Well, i'm happy that Niro took to the mouse i fed him. The kill was so utterly vicious, but he only ate half of it. But i need to find an alternative man. 5 bucks per baby hamster, 1 or 2 a week is really money sapping. I gotta try cheaper stuff lah. Anyway, got him a nicer, more permanent mini tank with the coarse sand and stuff.

Ok, i'm starting to get worried. Niro still hasnt eaten anything since sunday. Ok not that thats a really big deal. Its just the fact that if i cant find out what it will eat by end of this week it will die liao.

I mean it could also be like other factors beside the food itself lah. Environment? maybe too unnatural, new and unfamiliar? Maybe. But seriously, i gotta make it eat. As i said, Niro might be the only 1 i have in my lifetime.

Ok just to make it quick, Charmed is cancelled on star world to make way for A.I. so i'm kinda pissed. Still dunno what day it moves to...

Niro. Monday, February 21, 2005

Ok, so i really need Niro to eat those crickets. If he does whopee. If he doesnt i gotta try lotsa other stuff. Maybe even a baby mouse. See first lah. Just hope i can find out what he eats by the end of the week. I wanna make him last at least a year. I mean they dont really have a long lifespan do they? I guess he's got that much to go. And anyway, i dont think i'll be able to get another one in my lifetime.

So i'm really behind in my debate stuff. Got loads of research to do. Still need to write my debate speech. Guess i just drop the research for today lah. Do the speech 1st.

But i really dont get Siraj's tactics. I mean the competition is this Friday, and he wants to have a mock debate on the same topic by tomorow. The worse thing is that i wont even be doing that speaker's role in the actual date. I would rather that we actually try writing our real speeches 1st. Then tomorow, we review it, come up with new point and edit the speeches. Then by wednesday night, send to Siraj for further editing, as he promised.

Well, life doesnt go the way you want it to lah. Learnt that a long time ago. Perhaps not that long lah, maybe like 5 years ago.

Would you Never be my Valentine? Monday, February 14, 2005

Valentines day. Whoopee. Well, since this is a written, not spoken, its quite difficult to show sarcasm.

Yar, so even though at most times im happy not to be attatched, i mean like people have so much relationship problems), but this is the one day in a year that this mildly bothers me. I feel kinda left out. Ok so its for my best, waht with the O's this year and whatever but you know. I mean its like, i dunno, youre naked in a room full of clothed people. Perhaps thats a too extreme analogy.

Ok, so many people claim, they have nobody special, but still, you know. I keep wondering if there really is someone out there who wont just say it because of their first impression on the outside then fling it off when they know thres no real connection. It pays to be single. Just not on this day.

So we had class party during CE lesson just now, this month was Jerrold and James, although the latter didnt make it known so, well, very few knew lah. I guess he malu lar. Then had debate meeting till 5, then trooped back home, so frikin tired. Haiz. What a way to spend valentine's day. I guess. the ruggers have it worse lor, trainin till 7.

Ouh good, Amy Lee's gonna be in the Grammy's. Hahaha. as long she has good screen time, it'll make my day.

Half Breeds Tuesday, February 08, 2005

Ok, so i went to watch Constantine today. Actually was initially going alone then Shan Yu came along. Ouh thanks for spilling my drink. Really tactful. Just jokin lah.

Well, it was a damn good movie. Impactful, morbid, shocking...but a little difficult to understand. Hopefully i will when i watch it again. And the fact that their speech wasnt so clear didnt help one bit.

Ok, i sooo love the half angels, even though Gabriel was one messed up character. The end was slightly anticlimatic yet mildly funny. Hell was designed really well, real cool. The effects were spectacular, storyline was ok. Its really my kinda movie. Lucifer was portrayed differently, in a white suit. The angels' wings werent white. And the part where the guy couldnt drink anything but died of drowning was cool. Ok lah, dun reveal too much, must go watch it yourselves. Its the coolest movie since...um either Gothika or Butterfly Effect.

Well, anyway i bumped into Joel after the movie. Surprised he was alone. Well it was the toilet lah, so i wouldnt know. I also didnt know i was so forgettable. He looked really pale though, like the night he was on the verge of passing out.

Hong-Bao-Deprived Sunday, February 06, 2005

So its been very long since my last entry. Guess i have been busy.
Ok, so we lost the 1st qualifiying round of the inter-school debates. Firstly, good ole Mr Sim didnt tell us that we were in fact in B-DIVISION this year. Ok, so basically we freaked out when the girl mentioned 6 minute speeches and P.O.Is. Yar, thats one. Two, i totally messed up the reply, even though everyone said Ruben sucked the most. Three, Ruben managed to go way over the time limit n the poor girl was practically ringing the bell as though it were a wrestling match, but that stupid bloke still continued. Four, what pissed me off the most was the fact that those moron judges did not choose a best speaker which totally cramped our opportunity to make it for the top 20 speakers like Amar n me did last year. The only consoling thing was that the pretty judge gave it to us. So we're gonna get the next topic this friday, then its gonna be another damn hectic week. Also, this week i haf to do lotsa research and write 2 frikin speeches for stupid mock debates that are really wasting my time...

Well, other than that all that happened since the last entry was that i changed my handphone to the nokia 7610, and i'm lovin it. And i vowed that after the O's i would get the 7280, even though it doesnt have that much functions. Then i watched Electra, it was ok lar but there was way too much introduction and the villais were killed way too fast. The death woman was really cool. Hopefully i can get to watch Constantine this week.
